Business Templates

Business templates give your workspace a useful starting point the moment you choose what kind of business you run. Instead of starting with an empty CRM, CustomerFlows can install the pipeline structure, default fields, qualifying questions, and starter automations that fit your work.

Templates are most visible during onboarding, but workspace admins can also review or change the business type from Settings, then Account.

What a Template Can Set Up

A business template may include:

AreaWhat Gets Added
PipelinesOne or more pipelines with stage names that match the work
StagesDefault stage order, including won/lost or archived outcomes
FieldsUseful contact, deal, or job details for that business type
Qualifying questionsStarter chatbot questions for new leads
AutomationsStarter workflows such as follow-ups, reminders, or review requests
LabelsCustomer-facing words that make the app feel native to the business

Templates do not delete your existing deals, contacts, conversations, or billing history.

Tour Operator Template

Tour operators are the first complete workspace-template path.

When eligible, the tour operator template can install:

  • a sales pipeline for inquiries, quotes, deposits, active travel, and post-trip work
  • operational tracking for documents, vendor confirmations, and departure readiness
  • retention follow-up for reviews, referrals, and repeat bookings
  • starter automations for inquiry follow-up, quote follow-up, passport reminders, vendor confirmation follow-up, in-trip escalation, and post-trip review requests

If your plan does not include every pipeline or automation in the full template, CustomerFlows installs the highest-priority foundation first and records the remaining resources as deferred until you upgrade.

Changing Business Type Later

If you picked the wrong business type or your company focus changed:

  1. Go to Settings, then Account
  2. Open the Business type or Trade dropdown
  3. Choose the new type
  4. Save the change
  5. Review the template options shown before applying new setup

Existing records are preserved. If the new template includes stages or automations that conflict with your current setup, CustomerFlows asks whether to keep your current configuration or apply the new defaults.

Plan Limits

Templates respect your current plan.

For example, if a template includes three pipelines but your plan allows one, CustomerFlows installs the primary pipeline and defers the additional pipelines. If a template includes starter automations but your plan does not include automations, the automation suggestions remain unavailable until your workspace has access.
